SIEMENS PLM Software Collaborates with JANUS Engineering on Next Generation Post Processor for NX CAM
(Sindelfingen) (September, 2016) – JANUS Engineering AG announced a collaboration with Siemens PLM Software to develop in a new modular software structure to easily configure complex post processors for commonly used numerical controllers in Siemen’s NX™ software, a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE).
Siemens PLM Software is a leading global provider of PLM software and services. JANUS Engineering is a long-term development partner of Siemens PLM Software, and is known for its competence in Siemens’ NX CAM implementations and the development of post processors and machine simulations for a global customer base. JANUS and the NX CAM product development team, designed Post Configurator, a tool that allows users a convenient and highly efficient way to create post processors in NX CAM 10. The tool also enables users to easily configure complex post processors from commonly used building blocks. Similar post processors or derivatives can be created with just a few clicks and customer specific modifications are limited to an absolute minimum.
