Business Process Analysis

Do you know your optimization potential?

As part of a business process analysis, we thoroughly examine the processes in your manufacturing company in order to uncover optimization potential and bottlenecks. These optimizations are aimed at saving resources such as time and money as well as improving quality. You benefit from the expertise of our specialists.

Our business process analysis is individually tailored to your requirements, regardless of whether it concerns CAM programming or your entire production process. On request, we can also look at your entire value chain. If you are interested you can easily book an initial consulation for free.

The BPA methodology

Based on the business processes and objectives of your company, the actual processes, strengths, weaknesses and wishes are recorded in interviews. With this information and the comparison of actual and possible target processes, potentials and benefits are identified and quantified. A BPA enables both the customer and JANUS to identify the critical factors behind these initiatives and issues.

With this methodology, it is possible to identify and describe the potential for improvement and the benefits in the processes and areas under consideration. In doing so, you can benefit from our long-standing partnerships with expertise in the areas of CAD, PLM, MES and QM.

The analyzed areas include:

  • Order engineering, design, and model construction
  • Work preparation and production control
  • CAM programming
  • Management of tools and equipment
  • Processes in quality assurance

Business Process Analysis (BPA) Workflow

Stage 1: Preparation

The scope of the topics, the areas to be analyzed and the persons responsible are defined in advance of the BPA.

Stage 2: Interviews

An integral component of the BPA involves conducting interviews during the first two days with the individuals identified in Part 1. All interviews with process experts or key users focus on their typical workday. Our interview questionnaire serves as a framework, as lively discussions on workplace processes often ensue. These discussions allow us to address and elucidate the most pertinent points accurately.

Stage 3: Analysis and documentation

Following the interviews, we analyze the results and examine them for potential improvement opportunities. Our experts are consulted during this process. The identified optimization potentials are then weighted, prioritized, and succinctly documented by us. Initially, the results of the BPA are provided to you in written form. Additionally, we present the findings in detail to you and all relevant participants. This forum allows for the determination of further actions and the clarification of any questions or uncertainties.

Stage 4: Next steps

Subsequently, we assist you in implementing your optimization potentials.

You will then receive from us

  • Identification of bottlenecks
  • Identification of optimization potentials
  • Listing of solution approaches
  • Customized automation approaches
  • Strategic roadmap for achieving your goals

Your advantages

  • Increased efficiency of your processes
