JANUS Engineering License Management

The JANUS Engineering License Management System (JELM) is our new licensing system. It offers a client/server architecture, which makes it possible to operate the licensing either locally on each client individually or centralized on a server. As license models, we can offer you Node Lock, Named User as well as Floating with the new licensing system. To issue a license we only need a fingerprint of the computers on which the server is running or for which a Node Lock license is required. The fingerprints can be read using the "JELM Utility" application supplied with the server or the "JELM.Fingerprint" application available separately. The installation can be done easily via an installation routine and is well documented in an enclosed installation guide. The recommended system requirements are:

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 7 SP1 or newer.
  • Network access of the clients via a defined port (e.g. 5444) when running as a server
  • JELM Server is installed as a Windows service
