After watching this QuickTip you will be able to, for example, include or exclude areas easily and quickly with functions that are sometimes unknown !
If you want to modify specific areas in NX, they must first be marked on the part. Depending on the complexity of the part, this selection can sometimes be laborious and time consuming.
The Siemens NX design and manufacturing software provides you with many practical and functional selection functions for defining your milling areas. Here you will discover two intelligent selection methods that you can use in your daily work.
You have two options, using contours or faces.
To begin, we will click on "create a geometry".
At first we will use the contours of the faces. By using this method you have the possibility to exclude holes, islets, chamfers.
In a second step we will use the faces. By using this method in Siemens NX you can select a set of faces.
Or use as another selection method the "edge bounded areas".
