You have come to this page because you want to inform yourself about our handling of (your) personal data. In order to fulfil our information obligations in accordance with Art. 12 ff. of the General Data Protection Regulation, we are pleased to present our information on data protection below.

Contract-related data processing
In the context of the contract initiation or contract conclusion, we collect personal data of the business partners (e.g. customers, suppliers, providers of other deliveries and/or services, cooperation partners) or the contact persons designated by them, in particular last name and first name as well as contact data (telephone number, e-mail address, fax) of the business partner or contact persons. In addition, we collect information that is necessary for the execution of the contractual relationship as well as for the processing of business transactions.
We process the data collected by us for the purposes of checking the conclusion of the contract and the decision on the acceptance of the contract, for the processing of the business, for invoicing, for the defence or processing of any liability claims and for the assertion of any own claims from the business relationship.
Legal bases of the processing are:
- Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b GDPR : The processing of your data is necessary for the acceptance and processing of the contract and for the fulfilment of the mutual obligations arising from the contract.
- Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR : The processing of your data is necessary to protect our legitimate interests, in particular to assert or defend legal claims arising from the business relationship.
The personal data collected by us is only stored as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the data was collected. This is usually no longer the case if the contractual relationship has been concluded and possible warranty claims have expired and we are not obliged to store the data beyond this period due to storage obligations resulting from industry-specific requirements or from tax and commercial law regulations, or if we have not expressly consented to storage of the data beyond this period in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR .
Data processing for direct marketing purposes
We reserve the right to process personal data provided to us within the scope of the business relationship in order to send our business partners invitations to events relevant to them and information on new developments.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data within the scope of direct marketing measures is either your declared consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter a EU- GDPR or the legal permission in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f EU- GDPR or § 7 Para. 3 UWG. In this case, our legitimate interest is the promotion and maintenance of our business partnerships and customer relations.
Each business partner or contact person can object to the processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purposes of direct marketing at any time, free of charge and with effect for the future, by sending a message to datenschutz@janus-engineering.de or via a link provided for this purpose in an e-mail sent by us or to revoke his/her consent to this.
How long is the data stored?
We store your data as long as the respective purpose requires it.
To which recipients will the data be forwarded?
Personal data will not be passed on to third parties - unless previously stated - in principle. In particular, we do not pass on personal data to recipients based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, unless such a transfer is necessary in connection with the processing of a contractual relationship or for the execution of the business relationship. Insofar as this is necessary for the processing of a contractual relationship or for the execution of the business relationship in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter b) GDPR , personal data will be passed on to third parties. This includes in particular the transfer to other business partners and their representatives. In some cases, we use external service providers to process personal data within the scope of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (e.g. in the area of IT services or data carrier disposal). These service providers have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are regularly checked.
Your rights as a "data subject
You have the right to be informed about the personal data we process about you.
In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require you to provide evidence that proves that you are the person you claim to be.
Furthermore, you have the right to correct or delete your personal data or to restrict its processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so.
Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing within the scope of the legal requirements.
We will stop processing data concerning you, unless we can prove compelling reasons for processing the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims worthy of protection. The same applies to a right to data transferability
In particular, you have a right of objection in accordance with Art. 21 Paras. 1 and 2 GDPR against the processing of your data in connection with a direct advertising campaign, if this is based on a weighing of interests.

Right of complaint
