NX CAD/CAM Quicktip : Create a smart link between components

How to be more efficient when creating interdependents elements

In today's QuickTip we are going to see how to create an associative or non-associative link between geometries in an assembly component.

After seeing this QuickTip you will be able to create a - Wave - with the NX utility.

What is a "wave" ?

The concept of the wave is to be able to copy an element, such as a body, a face, a sketch, a plan, etc., in an associative way or not.

By default, the copied item becomes the child of the original item that is the parent, then you just created a wave.

1- Activate the component

In the assembly browser, click on the component in which you will create your -wave-.

2- Create your wave

Click on the icon - Wave geometry linker -

Select the type of element to use, which will be copied.
